The figure depicts RSM Tom Pugh, portrayed by Harry Andrews, stripped to the waist in the relentless North African heat as he puts his strength behind the crew’s famous Austin K2/Y ambulance “Katy.”
Sculpted in a powerful pushing pose, Tom Pugh leans forward with both arms extended and palms against the vehicle, his legs firmly braced to convey the physical effort of forcing the heavily laden ambulance onwards through the desert. The pose is specifically designed to interact with Katy and is ideal for recreating one of the film’s memorable scenes of the crew battling against the harsh terrain.
The sculpt features detailed facial character, military cap, shorts, belt, watch, long desert socks and boots, together with carefully modelled anatomy and natural body tension appropriate to the pushing action.
