K5 – The Haunting: A Thousand Nights continues the dark original-character range from the warped imagination of Richard the Artist.
Once a man, now something that has wandered far beyond death, The Haunting is a towering skeletal apparition dressed in the remains of Victorian finery. A tall top hat, waistcoat, neck cloth and long, decaying overcoat give him the silhouette of a gentleman from another age — but whatever humanity he once possessed has long since disappeared.
His exposed skull carries an unnervingly broad grin beneath curtains of lank, dead hair. In his hands he carries a long wooden staff from which hangs an old caged lantern, as though he has spent countless nights searching for someone.

The sculpt is packed with painter-friendly textures: distressed cloth, torn coat hems, weathered wood, skeletal hands and face, rope, chain and the suspended lantern. It offers enormous scope for atmospheric finishes, from ancient Victorian blacks and browns to spectral moonlight, rust, verdigris and supernatural glow effects from the lantern.
The accompanying concept artwork explores the character's transformation from living Victorian gentleman through decay and finally into the grinning skeletal figure — a man gradually consumed by whatever has kept him walking for those thousand nights.
